Funny thing about inspiration, it takes
many forms. As an artist, I'm constantly bombarded with creative
inspiration every waking moment - and sleeping moments, for that
matter.
This isn't a complaint, mind you. Inspiration is an artist's lifeblood
and at the rate I'm going, it would take me more than two lifetimes to
commit all my ideas to canvas even though I am quite the prolific
painter. It does, however, make describing my
work a bit tricky. Just as inspiration takes many forms, so does
my expression of that inspiration.
Much of my recent work blends elements
attributed to the abstract expressionist genre and the abstract
impressionist arena. It was not a planned transition, just a natural
way to express ideas and experiences more fully.
